Ibanez AEWB50 Exotic Wood Series Acoustic/Electric Bass Guitar (Natural)

The Exotic Wood Series AEWB50 from Ibanez is a full-sized acoustic/electric bass guitar made from a spalted mosaic of multiple wood types with a natural high-gloss finish. The slender, single-cutaway body delivers a powerful and balanced acoustic sound. Unplugged or amplified, the instrument is well suited for solo performance or playing with a full band. The multi-wood mosaic offers a distinctive tone and appearance that garners attention and inspires the imagination.

The AEWB50 is constructed with a spalted maple/walnut/ovangkol top, while the back and sides feature spalted maple/walnut. The 3-piece mahogany/maple neck offers a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard. The soft Florentine cutaway provides easy accessibility all the way to the 18th fret. Other features include a rosewood bridge, rosewood body binding, rosewood soundhole rosette, maple dot fingerboard inlays, and black die-cast tuners.

For electronics, the bass is equipped with a Fishman Sonicore pickup, and an Ibanez AEQ-SP2 preamp with a 2-band EQ, an on-board tuner, and both a 1/4" / 6.35mm and a balanced XLR output. The AEWB50 comes set up with Ibanez IABS4XC carbon coating strings.
