Will this QR plate fit any ball-head type tripod heads?
Unfortunately, quick release plates arent universal: there isnt one standard design. Most manufacturers have proprietary designs for their quick release systems, which can change from model to model of tripod. So, this quick release plate would only work with a select number of Slik heads.

Exactly what other Slik products will this plate fit on? I'd like to acquire some adapters (similar to the DQ-20) to make other things (like focusing rail) more convenient to use, and a ball head (without the levers of the SH-705E).
The mount insert is 1.40in square. The tripod receiver is 1.42in (square also). If your tripod receiver is morethan, say, 1.43in, it'll not work.
