Review for the 9.Solutions 9XA1008 angle joint, 9XA1015 mount for large camera, 9XA10075 1/4-20 thread-on quick mount, 9XA1018 quick mount adhesive plate. PROs: This is one of the best looking and versatile mounts that can be used for much more than just a temporary mounting fixture. With the implementation of the magnets and rosettes at the connection points, the product is easy to manipulate into the desired configuration with one hand and holds it's position well. The large green thumb wheel is comfortable to use and allows a good grip to tighten the accessories into place. CONs: There are a couple quality control items that are of concern with the product. One thing I noticed as soon as I opened the packages is that the finish on the edges of the quick mount angle joint and quick mount for large camera were already wearing through, exposing the underlying aluminum. This is occurring at all edges and not just at the pivot point. In certain circumstances a distressed patina is a desirable appearance. Items that are new in the package do not fit that category. 9.Solutions might want to consider hard anodizing these pieces for a more durable finish. The pivot point thumb screw on the quick angle mount was and is still is too long. The threaded end shows signs of filing/grinding/sanding in an attempt to shorten the threaded end. This end was left uneven and it extends past the joint knuckle surface of the mount when tightened down leaving an exposed edge that is sharp and does cut skin. I contacted 9.Solutions with my concerns, to which I received a prompt email response back from John thanking me for my purchase and feedback. He indicated that a product manager would be responding to my quality concerns very soon. It has been two weeks since I received that email, and there has not been any further contact since. I am reluctant to purchase more 9.solutions products in the future with the current quality control issues and lack of customer service.
