Samsung NX1 Overview

Embrace the video-specific features of the Samsung NX1 Mirrorless Digital Camera with 16-50mm f/2-2.8 Lens by picking up this B&H Kit, which takes the 4K-capable NX1 and lens combo and pairs it with a lightweight Rode VideoMic GO On-Camera Microphone for amplifying the quality of your sound.

The NX1 stands out from the pack with a large APS-C-format backside-illuminated CMOS sensor architecture that boosts performance across the board, enabling fast 15 fps burst shooting with autofocus, DCI 4K at 24 fps, and low noise throughout the 100-51200 ISO range. Speed is further improved thanks to an AF system with 205 phase-detection points across the sensor. Benefitting video capture is the use of the H.265 codec for high efficiency and maximum resolution. For comfortable operation, the NX1 is equipped with both a 3.0" 1,036k-dot touchscreen LCD for intuitive control and a 2.36m-dot XGA OLED EVF for natural eye-level shooting.

The camera is compatible with Samsung NX-mount lenses and included in this kit is the Samsung 16-50mm f/2-2.8 S ED OIS Lens. A Premium "S" Series lens, it offers a 35mm-equivalent range of 24.6-77mm, and provides an angle of view that can be used for wide-angle shots to portraits. It has a fast f/2.0 - 2.8 maximum aperture range that enables low-light shooting and shallow depth of field, while a 9-blade circular aperture diaphragm creates pleasing blur in out-of-focus regions. The lens can be stopped down to f/22 and features optical image stabilization.
