With the MG7310-10 8x4 343 Mbps DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem & N300 Wi-Fi Router from Motorola you can virtually eliminate the need for additional networking components as the MG7310 is both a modem and router in one. With a single coax connector you can connect directly to the incoming cable Internet line. In addition to coax connectivity, you can connect up to four Ethernet enabled devices to any of the four Gigabit Ethernet ports for a reliable wired Internet connection.

For wireless connectivity, the MG7310 supports the 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi protocols and operates on the 2.4 GHz frequency. With built-in MIMO (multiple input, multiple output) technology this router supports multiple data streams offering a stronger more reliable wireless connection to more users. Securing the network has also been simplified as this wireless router supports WPA/WPA2 and WEP-64/128 encryption standards along with a wide variety of additional security features like parental controls, and 802.1x authentication to ensure your entire network remains secure.

The modem found inside the MG7310 supports 8 downstream channels with a maximum data transfer rate of 343 Mbps and 4 upstream channels with a maximum data transfer rate of 123 Mbps. DOCSIS 3.0 compliance and IPv6 compatibility ensures the modem is compatible with nearly all cable providers including Comcast XFINITY, Time Warner Cable, and a variety of other providers.

    MG7310-10 8x4 343 Mbps DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem & N300 Wi-Fi Router is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works for Comcast Business Class w/dynamic IP Ordered from B&H Wednesday afternoon, delivered to Boston Thurs before noon. Excellent service from B&H. This modem did NOT plug and play. I went through 4 tech folks at Comcast to get this working. All of them said it was not on the Approved business class internet list, (although it was on the xfinity residential list.) One said it would definitely NOT work, another who said it might work but screwed up the settings at Comcast, another play around with those settings and actually got it connected. I have the lowest rung, Comcast Starter Package. It replaced a SMC8014 which Comcast was gouging me $15/mo rental fee. If you get this to replace a Comcast rental, You need to call Comcast with the MAC and Serial numbers first. Once those are registered in the system, I would suggest you attach your coax cable and power before attaching your network cable to the computer. Wait for the 'internet globe' to light steadily, then connect the computer to the modem. If any problems, open a Command prompt, type in: ipconfig /flushdns ipconfig /release ipconfig /renew reboot It works great once you get it going, but I suspect my problems were because of Comcast Business Class internet, not the modem. Comcast is full of folks who aren't real knowledgeable, so you have to keep calling to get someone good. Don't be shy. Thanks B&H, great price, great service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buy It. I love this Product If you are looking to buy a modem with router for a Comcast connection, this is the best option, I don't see any issues connecting eight devices at a time. After searching a lot, I can find this product within my budget (85 $ ). Don't worry if it is not showing in Comcast website; This is compatible and working well and also confirmed with Comcast. Enjoy Guys,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great replacement for my Comcast deal Just went back to Comcast (after a year with Vantage/Frontier) and happily replaced the $11./ mo (plus Tax) Xfinity rental gateway. While I spend a great deal of time on the Internet, I don't consider myself a power-user or especially adept at technology but, get this thing up and running with no real issues. No problem delivering 100+ MPS downloads and WiFi covers my house pretty well (though I fired-up my TP-Link anyway). My perception = a great bang-for-the-buck!
