They sound great, good range, easy setup, as they are wireless, you do not have problems with the cables when you walk

If you have this same exact system and are looking to replace a handheld transmitter, you would have to check with AKG for a replacement.

What can be the cause if this wireless is making unnecessary noise?

There could be other radio devices in the general area. Ac line hum could be caused by appliances nearby and plugged into the same electrical service as well. Faulty connecting cables can create noise as well.

Can the receiver mount to a camera or a tripod?

This is a table top design and doesn't inherently have any provision for portable applications. You could have a look at the bottom of the module to determine how modifiable it is. Good luck.
