The TC132SC from Takamine is a handcrafted nylon-string classical guitar with a solid cedar top, a solid rosewood back, rosewood sides, a mahogany neck, and a natural gloss finish. It pays homage to traditional classical instruments and follows closely to the original drawings of Antonio Torres. The instrument can be utilized by classical, Latin, and jazz musicians for pure nylon-string tone at amplified volume levels.
The solid cedar top produces a warm full tone with plenty of dynamic range. The solid rosewood back aids in the projection and enhances the sonic brilliance of the instrument. In addition, the mahogany neck features a dual-action truss rod, which keeps the guitar playing just right in any environment.
Furthermore, the CTP-3 CoolTube preamp system provides low-voltage tube tone, variable from bright and brilliant to thick and warm, using a 12AU7 dual-triode vacuum tube. The preamp includes a three-band EQ with semi-parametric midrange, auxiliary input, volume (for use when a second pickup is added), and an onboard chromatic tuner. A GC300 hardcase is also included.
