Windows 10

Start Menu
After its hiatus in Windows 8, the Start Menu has returned. Utilizing a combination of the traditional menu system and Windows 8's Live Tiles, the improved Start Menu gives you more information at a glance, showing notification information alongside your applications and other pinned items.
Cortana
Microsoft's digital personal assistant, Cortana can answer your questions with information gleaned from both your device and the internet at large. You can type or even talk with her, if your system has a microphone. Using her Notebook, Cortana keeps track of your needs and wants, and she learns over time to improve her information gathering skills.
Microsoft Edge
After nearly 20 years, Microsoft has finally replaced its Internet Explorer web browser. With Microsoft Edge, users can write directly on web pages and share notes with friends and colleagues. It also improves the online reading experience by adding a distraction-free mode and read-it-later functionality. Edge also has built-in Cortana integration; you can have her help you find a restaurant, make a reservation, and pull up directions without leaving your browser.
Windows Store
For Windows 10, Microsoft has unified the Windows Store. Now, apps for PCs, tablets, and phones will all be accessible from one place. And with support for Universal Apps, one version of an app can work across all your compatible devices automatically.
Windows Continuum
Windows 10 was designed for a variety of screen sizes and input styles, and with its Continuum feature, it automatically adapts to fit your needs. A Windows 10 tablet on its own requires a touch-centric approach, but attaching a mouse and keyboard will shift everything to a more traditional interface. You can even attach an external monitor to your Windows 10 phone for a near-desktop experience. But it's not just the operating system; Windows Universal Apps take advantage of Continuum as well.
Xbox on Windows 10
Gaming is a big focus of Windows 10. Xbox integration allows for PC players to match up against Xbox One players on supported games, and if you have an Xbox One, you can even stream compatible titles to your PC. Native support for recording with the new Game DVR feature makes it easy to capture and share your gameplay. The new DirectX12 takes better advantage of multi-core processors, giving games a performance boost, even on older hardware. Windows 10 also features native support for virtual reality headsets, such as the Oculus Rift.

    Intel BOXSTK1AW32SC reviews

Compute Stick is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 21.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this computer - this is my 2nd one I bought one last year just to see what it could do. I was blown away with the purchase. I'm a software developer and I write programs on this running Windows 10 and MS Office no problem. It turns any TV or monitor w/HDMI into a Smart TV. It takes everything I throw at it. I just bought another one from B&H for a 55 inch TV that wasn't smart tv (now it is) and I couldn't be happier with the purchase. It's slick because you can control the computer from your smart phone - there's an app for that! This is my everyday computer and even at the risk of making wife a little mad at me - I'm thinking of buying another one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes for a small & affordable home theater PC.. Using this device as a cheap home theater PC connected to my TV. Works very well for video and music playback (tested up to 1080p local and streaming without issue) and for light web browsing. Has about the same performance as any other Intel Atom tablet or netbook, and while the tiny fan does kick in quite often, it isn't very loud or bothersome. My biggest complaint with this device is Windows 10, which works well enough for the most part, but is no where near as enjoyable to use as Windows 7 and simply feels broken and incomplete in certain areas, and downright annoying in others (forced updates for example). Another weird issue worth mentioning is that there is no option to enable sleep mode - only restart and shutdown. Not sure if this was Intel's intention, or perhaps something that will change after I update the BIOS and drivers (otherwise, it's probably not a big deal, as this device shouldn't draw much electricity and stays cool at idle). Other than that, I'm very happy with my purchase and plan on purchasing a few more for work (for digital signage and streaming video from security cameras). The only thing I needed to be up and running was a mini keyboard/trackpad that connected via a wireless USB dongle, which I already owned (B&H sells a similar SMK-Link Wireless Ultra-mini Touchpad Keyboard that should work). Bought a SanDisk 200GB microSDXC card for this compute stick, but really haven't had a need to use it yet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 60-days and it was stopped working I used this Compute Stick with a TCL 60 1080p television that works fine with a Chromecast that is still installed. The Compute Stick has stopped giving a signal to the TV and, when plugged in, actually causes sparkles to appear on the other HDMI ports when they are in use. I'm no electrical engineer, but that sounds like something is shorting and driving noisy signal or extra electrons into my television set, so this Compute Stick has been unplugged. This was the first order I placed with B&H too, and I'm really disappointed in the return policy on these items. Most likely I will not be back. Hopefully I can get Intel to work with me on repairing or replacing the obviously defective unit that I got.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great little device! I used this on my Flat screen and I love it. The only think is that I couldn't get wireless to pickup. Had to order a USB wireless antenna which worked great. I'm able to surface the internet fine - reception is good. I use one USB port for my receiver(keyboard) and the other for my wireless adapter. Love the size of it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It Works Great I was surprised at how well this computer works. I had no trouble setting it up and had it up and running in about 10 minutes after opening the box. I bought it for travel as I use Quicken which needs Windows and a laptop is added baggage. I use a roll-up keyboard and the whole thing fits in a small lunchbox. I did buy a USB 3.0 hub to get more ports. I installed Quicken from a portable DVD drive which worked well plugged into the USB 2.0 port. This thing is not a speed demon by any means, but I knew that when I bought it. I'm very satisfied with this computer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Product It's a great product, very beatiful and easy to configure and start to use. A little bit noisier than I tought it will be, but I will figure it out how to muffle the noise.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for Kiosk PC We are using a few of these compute sticks as touch screen kiosk PCs. Works great for a small, always on PC application.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Powerful for its size Nearly every television, every spare computer monitor, or even projectors with HDMI inputs can now be transformed into an instant Windows 10 desktop computer, all with a little sleight of hand. It works great for casual Web surfing and HD media streaming. The downside is pretty much the very little storage, so installing apps or downloading movies is difficult. It pretty much promises a computer in every pocket, just be prepared for an entry-level experience, although it's still fine for email, social media and movies.
