Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Holy Grail Of File Management For iOS Devices This miracle device gives you what Apple refuses to: comprehensive file-management solutions for iOS. It's a little wonky in that you have to install a proprietary app, and then connect to the WiFi signal broadcast by the unit itself. But once you do that, you can effortlessly use the app to move files to and from the internal storage of your iPhone/iPad, as well as create folders, etc. There's even a built-in music player app, because iTunes won't recognize the mp3's you load in this way. Problem-solver/game-changer for me. I haven't even used the extra battery power it provides, but I give it an A+ regardless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Convenient while on the go Great little device. Between my dslr and my drone, my SD card and iPads get full pretty quick. This lets me transfer the data off my devices onto a more permanent storage solution. Great for a seriously mobile workflow and even convenient when at home or in a hotel room.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not worth the upgrade for people who use it just to transfer Pros Connection to the device by the app is solid The app is fast Cons Copy files is very slow. Very slow Battery dies fast Preview of high quality video was slow SD card reader functionality has been removed USB 2.0. My main use was for backing up from an SD card. In the department its not worth the upgrade. The older cheaper version might be enough

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Moving Files I have quit with Windows but all my data is on an external hard drive. How to get what I need onto a new Gen6 iPad? The MobileLite G3 does the job perfectly! While it was probably created for moving photo & video files, it works for any file, including types it does not recognize. Just navigate Safari to the device's IP address and view/select any file you need to move. Just what I needed!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A good buy if you have particular needs. Not a bad device as additional storage. The BONUS is that you can connect it to your existing WiFi network and still access the internet (this device appears as a WiFi source and you must connect TO IT to access any connected USB devices). It also seems to refresh the WiFi signal if your distance from your REAL router causes a dropped bar or two.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Still working with it I purchased the G3 to transfer files from my Pen 6 to my smartphone. After a couple of fits and starts, I was finally able to do it. Of course with JPEG camera files it will take time. However, once it got going it did its job. In all fairness, I'm still working with the G3 and hope that it will be truly what I needed.
