    Mount-It! MI-761 Reviews

MI-761 Single Spring Arm, Articulating Computer Monitor Desk Mount is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does what I need it to do. I bought this along with a Viewsonic monitor to replace my laptops screen that broke when it got dropped. Computer works fine. So buying this and the monitor was cheaper than having the screen replaced. I wanted to use this to mount the screen on the filing cabinet I have next to my recliner. I use my recliner due to severe back issues. I took the top drawer out of the filing cabinet and mounted this to it. It works great. I can have the monitor as close or as far as I want. Just need to keep weight in the bottom of the cabinet. the clamp has not come loose since I put it on a year ago. the plastic pieces that are for the cables don't have a lot of room for the cables. So I don't use them. Just use a few zip ties. Could not be happier. The swivels were a little stiff to move so I put a few drops of oil on them. Did the trick.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor Quality / No Support Information The cable cover for this product arrived broken. There is no company contact information whatsoever inside the package. I am lucky it was only a cheap piece of plastic that was broken, otherwise I would have had to return it via B&H since there's no way to contact the company, and apparently it doesn't come with a warranty. The rest of the product works as expected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Nice Addition to a Home Office My wife installed this for her home office. In order to ensure that it grips your desk, find one of those circular rubber jar openers tables hand out at health fairs. Use it to secure the vise in place. Then, you will be happy and confident your monitor won't fall off the hinge no matter how much you move it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sturdy & flexible. Could be longer. tl;dr: -Good articulation, a bit shorter than we'd like. -The mounting and joints are very sturdy. -The tightening screws are difficult to adjust at first, like they might strip. -Rotating between portrait and landscape is too tight, like it might break. We have it set up for an artist's tablet display. It's not quite long enough to reach a comfortable drawing position when mounted to the back of the desk, so we rearranged their desk and mounted it to the side. The three points of articulation allow the artist bring it down to their lap and back into a casual viewing position without much bother. They are also able to turn it easily to show others their work. When we installed it, the tightening screws were screwed all the way in. When first trying to adjust them, we were worried we would strip them, especially the main screw for the torsion spring. It worked out with nothing?breaking, but it's something to be careful of during installation. The main complain now that it's installed is that the portrait/landscape joint is incredibly tight and doesn't seem to have a means of loosening. Any attempt at twisting it feels like it could snap or strip the joint. If the rotation worked right we'd give it a 5 star rating.
