Packaging the E-Image Two-Stage Aluminum Tripod and GH06 Head with a Lightweight Tripod Dolly, this B&H Kit provides the tripod legs, a fluid head, mid-level spreader, pan handle, set of three anti-slip tripod feet, a padded carry bag with a shoulder strap, and the dolly. The tripod legs feature a twin-tube leg design with mono-locks that allow you to lock/unlock all sections using only one rotating locking lever per leg. The tripod legs support up to 88 lb of load and are adjustable from 26 to 61".

The fluid head supports up to 13 lb and offers four-step (3+0) pan and tilt drag, and a five-step fixed counterbalance. It features an Easy-Lock baseplate system that allows you to attach the included quick release plate in two ways: by snapping it in from the top, or by sliding it in from the rear. Pan and tilt locks are separate. The head also features a spirit level and a 1/4"-20 accessory socket for monitor support arms. The tripod dolly has an individual brake for each wheel. It also has a collapsible design for easier transport.

E-Image 2-Stage Aluminum Tripod with GH06 Head

The E-Image 2-Stage Aluminum Tripod with GH06 Head supports cameras and accessories weighing up to 13.2 lb. The head and legs feature a 75mm ball/bowl, which provides a wide support platform. The legs are made from aluminum and feature three leg sections with Mono-Lock leg locks. The Mono-Lock design allows you to lock and unlock all the sections of each leg using only one rotating locking lever. The tripod legs are height-adjustable from 32.5 to 72.5" with the head attached.

The GH06 head features an Easy Lock Baseplate system that combines the balance adjustment of a sliding baseplate with the ease of a quick release system. It provides five counterbalance settings (plus a zero setting for no counterbalance) that help the fluid head support loads up to 13.2 lb. With three fluid drag grades plus a zero setting on both pan and tilt, you can adjust the fluid head to suit your shooting style or the needs of the shot. The head features a built-in 1/4"-20 accessory socket for available monitor support arms or other accessory items. It includes a padded carry bag with a shoulder strap.

Easy Lock Baseplate
The Easy Lock baseplate provides the balance adjustment range associated with a sliding balance plate but combines the ease of a quick release, as you can pop the camera (on the Easy Lock plate) into the top of the fluid head without having to support the camera while lining up the plate with the head. Easy to pop in, it stays secure until you release it, and you maintain the sliding balance adjustments.
Mono-Lock Legs
The mono-lock design allows you to lock and unlock the three sections of each leg using only one locking lever. The rotating lever provides a robust clamp mechanism that secures the legs and prevents them from slipping once locked. The single lever on each leg allows you to quickly lock the leg height without having to use two levers, making for a quicker workflow and sparing your back from having to bend down to open a bottom leg lock to raise the legs.
Dual-Spiked Feet
The legs feature dual-spiked feet that provide solid purchase on soft surfaces when the legs are spread wide or extended to full height.
Rubber Feet
The rubber feet attach to the spiked feet for working on delicate or hard surfaces.
1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 Camera Screws
The Easy Lock camera plate features a guided sled with a locating pin, and it supports both 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 camera tie-down screws (included).

No USA support

Fluid head broke on third use, dial won't rotate into different levels of drag. There is no USA support, had to email China, and they wanted video of the problem before they would help, even tho it was well within the warranty period. The tripod is decent, fwiw. Do not buy products from this company.

Head and Tripod Work Well with Canon HF G60

By Murray

I felt compelled to write a review of the E-Image 2-Stage Aluminum Tripod with GH06 Head, because I couldn't really find detailed information on how well it would work for a smallish camera. This is the most expensive tripod and head that I have ever used, so I am not able to compare it to the big names, like Manfrotto, Sachtler, etc. The tripods I have used up until now have fluid heads and fixed tilt, pan, and counterbalance. I've been happy with them, but this one is way better! The biggest unknown I had going into this purchase is if, or how well, the counterbalance would work with the Canon HF G60. The camera itself weighs about 2.5 pounds (1135 grams) and I don't add anything to it, except a small Comica wireless receiver mounted on a small ball head in the cold shoe. The whole setup is fairly light in relation to what this tripod and head are designed for. With the counterbalance set on 1 and the tilt drag set on 3, the head will give you about 10 degrees plus or minus without having to hold it in position. Beyond that, it will drift back into that zone. This works pretty well for something like a pulpit shot where the tilt operates in a narrow range. Just make sure your camera is perfectly balanced with the tilt drag temporarily set on 0. With the counterbalance set on 0 and the tilt drag set on 3, you get a bit more range, maybe 15 to 20 degrees, before the head slowly falls forward or backward. This works pretty well for something like a dance recital or stage production, where there is a lot of movement, and you will generally have your hand on the pan bar at all times. With the counterbalance on 0 and the tilt drag on 3, you could probably use this for any small camera (even a smartphone) and be very happy with the performance. It may seem extreme to have the tilt drag set on 3, but it really isn't difficult to tilt and works really well for holding a small camera in position. I keep the pan drag set on 1. Because the camera is so small, anything higher than the pan on 1 requires a lot of effort to move. Pan bounce back is very minimal, almost nonexistent, especially if you just hold the position for a few extra seconds, before letting go of the pan bar. The sticks are wonderfully heavy and rock solid with some nice configurable options, but so far, I have only used the default narrow stance with the rubber feet. Although this tripod is obviously designed for camera setups that are heavier than mine, I am very pleased with the smooth, buttery feel of this combination. My only regret is that I didn't buy two when they were on sale!

What adapter to use to make e-image gh06 tripod ...

What adapter to use to make e-image gh06 tripod compatible with tilta's shoulder mount (arch-swiss or manfrotto)? detail please
Asked by: Paul
The E-Image GH06 Head with 2-Stage Carbon Fiber Tripod Legs does not use a Arca-Swiss or Manfrotto quick release plate, but you could mount the E-Image GP1 Quick Release Plate to the base of your shoulder mount, which would work with the GH06 fluid head.

This is a fluid head tripod. It is meant for use with video camcorders or DSLR's shooting video. It would be awkward to use this for still photography.

question

Can I mount the Kessler Crane Pocket Dolly v2.0 Standard (39.5 ) B&H # KECS1010 MFR # CS1010 onto this tripod?
Asked by: Roderick H.
Yes you can. The E-Image is a very good choice for it has more than enough capacity. I always like having more capacity in a tripod rather than just enough.
