Route content from eight HDMI inputs to eight display outputs, without worrying about the distance limitations of HDMI cabling, with the Key Digital KD-HD8x8Lite HDMI Matrix Switcher with HDBaseT. Leveraging HDBaseT technology, the KD-HD8x8Lite sends an unaltered HD or 4K HDMI signal along with other necessary ancillary signals down a single Cat5e/6 cable. As opposed to an HDMI cable with severe distance limitations, in some cases preventing cables longer than 25' from being used, HDBaseT can carry video signals in excess of 200' before requiring an extender. Each output channel offers an HDBaseT and a simultaneously active HDMI output for a total of sixteen active outputs.
In order to use straight out of the box, the KD-HD8x8Lite includes an HDBaseT balun receiver per output for connecting to conventional HDMI displays. An IR remote control is included in the package, as are rack ears for A/V rack installations. Software control is also possible using the RS-232 serial protocol via the 9-pin D-sub port.
