Zen Studio from Antelope is a highly portable audio interface with analog and digital connectivity that will cover most audio situations. The twelve microphone preamps, Antelope's signature clocking, and on-board DSP effects with multiple monitor mixers, and proprietary low-latency USB connectivity, make the interface a world-class mobile recording system. The unit easily fits inside a backpack or gear bag and is designed for the producer or engineer on the go, as well as location sound engineers, sound designers, independent bands and musicians in need of excellent sound quality and flexibility.
The USB 2.0 interface is fully controllable using a desktop application running on a Mac- or Windows-based computer, and offers flexible signal routing and DSP-based effects, alongside custom presets. Users can create up to four independent, zero-latency mixes assignable to any outputs, including the two independent headphone outputs and monitor outputs. All audio inputs and outputs are available simultaneously for a total of thirty-eight possible inputs and thirty-two outputs, plus twenty-four simultaneous I/O channels via custom USB, supporting 24-bit/192 kHz audio.
Additionally, the unit's DSP features AuraVerb, an algorithmic reverb that can create various "ambient colors", or "Auras", to provide color and richness to the audio stream. Producers can easily design thickening effects, washing effects, or bright halo type film score effects. There are also darkened mood effects and long, clear and rich decays, along with reverb presets.
