    LG 27UD68-P reviews

    27UD68-P 27" 16:9 4K UHD IPS Monitor is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 35.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Monitor! This is a great monitor, just a couple of things people have mentioned before. The stand a little wobbly and the menu switch is a weird one. One switch on the center bottom of the monitor, works like a toggle switch. You have to toggle back and forth in the menus :) Other than that, it's very high resolution, very bright and works well with Adobe CC. I had purchased a Dell before this but RMA-d it because I didn't feel it was as bright as it should be. The price on this seems to fluctuating. Overall I really like it. It's pretty well Calibrated from the factory, will have to check it though. I gave it 4 stars because of the stand.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Monitor - would buy again Using as a retina display on a Mac pro. Still working out color calibration issues, but otherwise good. Need to use Display Port, not HDMI, for 4K on Pro. Monitor does not come with a DP cable. The monitor turns itself off (power save mode) if it loses signal on the DP for more than a couple of seconds. This can't be disabled, and is a nuisance when rebooting to install software as DP video is out for more than a few seconds and it doesn't turn back on automatically. This and the less-than-obvious color calibration are why I gave it four stars. Good value for the money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fine display monitor - 27 seems a little small for 4K though I was able to get this monitor when it was on sale - paid under $350 for it (2016) which I thought was a steal. Comparing it to 2013 27 iMac at home side by side, this monitor is quite excellent. - Sharpness / Color / Contrast / Brightness all seems to be excellent - Given the price, acknowledge that stand is a very minimal one, which I do not have much issue (it can only tilt slightly up or down) - This maybe for all 27 4K - I wanted to use it at full 4K but fonts for most applications become too small. Connecting from my macbook pro, I am using it 1 setting less, gives me about 3K by 2K pixels which is good enough (better than 2560x1440). If you want to use 4K setting I suggest 32' if you can afford the space.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from not bad for low-priced monitor for photo editing, a white page is a little bit on the blueish tint when in SRGB mode, its not a neutral white. and when you view an all black page in full screen, and turn off all ambient lights so that only the monitor is on, theres heavy & uneven light bleeding on all edges. and when you view an all-white page theres vignetting on the edges. this is suppose to be an IPS monitor but if you view from off center theres shading, so it has to be viewed from center only. picture quality is nice and bright, but default setting is 100% brightness. im using on a gtx980ti, and it is a full 3840x2160 at 60hz on a macpro. this is good because not all low-priced 27inch monitors will be the full 4k @60hz. havent tested for games but if its native 60hz at full 4k, should be good. the stand is a fixed 3.5 inches from desktop to bottom of monitor edge, cannot adjust height. it is tiltable only, just adjusts up or down. cannot swivel or rotate from portrait to landscape. vesa mount 100mmx100mm screw mounts in the back. good because the included stand is quite cheap, but i have 2 monitors anyways so im using a dual monitor mount.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Video Editors Dream...... Why is this better than any other 4K monitor? Lets check out the list ( Im a video editor professionally : 1. IPS Panel+170to170 Viewing Angle = No contrast Shifting 2. COLOR CALIBRATED FROM THE FACTORY! = No need to go to monitors menu settings to match the color/contrast with the screen of your retina mac, it will automatically look EXACLY like it! Its like I'm looking at my 15' Retina Macbook pro screen it soooooooo beautiful. 3. Price - I thought cheaper was better......wrong, i purchase the AOC 349 dollar model and i had to return it because of the TN screen and the off-putting viewing angles of 170+160. This number should always match Like, I never almost cried buying a piece of technology, but for someone who is editing video full time, looking at this screen just brings a tear to my eye. It looks so lifelike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks good next to 27" iMac It's a nice monitor and at a good price. I had to manually calibrate it out of the box–it ran on the cool side and had to adjust the white balance and contrast to get it to match the iMac screen, but I was able to get it to match fairly well. There were a few features I think I had to turn off, like the extra sharpening which looks awful, don't use it. It's a pretty bright screen, but could be a tad bit brighter to match iMac's full brightness- not a big deal. Wish it had mini display port on the back so I didn't have to buy a new cable, but thats okay. Overall, the screen represents colors accurately and with beautiful vibrance, the darks and lights are well represented as it seems to have pretty good dynamic range (I think I turned off or changed the default gamma setting to get there though). I would recommend this screen to a friend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Post production monitor. This is my 3rd monitor in my system and I purchased it for photographic post production more so I could work with three programs at once than anything else. However, I have found that the color array on this monitor is much better and much closer to my printed copies than my 24 IPS HD monitors. They're good not as good as the LG 4K monitor. This monitor makes the colors 'POP' compared to the other two and gives me a larger color pallet that allows me better color control over my printing. Great monitor for the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Monitor This unit replaced a 23 in unit and while 4 inches doesn't seem like much, it is a great difference! The display is crisp and very bright, in fact, I turned the brightness down ..... I partially selected this display for the brightness spec as it is one of the brightest displays in this class. I also selected it for the DisplayPort/Thunderbolt (DP) capability which I have. The monitor didn't come with a connector for that but I realized there are a number of sizes for DP cables, so I just ordered one and used the HDMI port until it arrives. Overall I like the display a lot.. the control under the display for settings takes some getting used to like a joystick, but it works OK.
