This 9 x 12' White Screen Background from Photek is a portable, wrinkle-free velour background that features a 4" sealed pocket at the top that can hang from almost any diameter crossbar support system. love your company, and the products you offer. But this time, when I purchased this product - it had a hole cut in it. Someone bought it, used it for a copy shot and then sent it back. A copy shot you light something 45 degrees from both sides, and then shoot through a black cloth. You cut a hole for the lens, and that allows you to shoot framed art and posters with glass in front of them with no reflection.
The drop is a heavier, sturdier material than typical muslin. It also blocks more light muslin, but there is still some bleed through. You don't want to use it on location where there will be strong backlight, as it will be visible through the drop. It comes in a nice carry bag for protection and the wrinkles pretty much fell out as soon as we hung it - no need for steaming. The velour-like surface of the material does catch dust (we were using it in a lumber warehouse, so there was a lot of dust) which requires frequent brushing to keep clean. This would be less of a problem in a more stable environment like a studio. The only major complaint we had was in the stated dimensions of the drop. It's listed at 10' X 12'. While it was 12' long, the drop was only 8'9" wide. We bought two to cover 20', and as a result, had to buy a third and pay for overnight shipping. If we had known the finished dimensions were smaller than stated, we could have purchased three initially and saved the cost of the overnight shipping. We're using the drops to photograph large wooden slabs against it to post to our website.
