The ARRISUN 5 with 400/575W ALF Electronic Ballast Kit was put together by ARRI to provide image makers with a plug-and-play solution to their video, photography or cinema needs. Included in the kit are a ARRISUN 5 PAR, Electronic ALF Ballast, 50' Head Cable, and a 5-Lens Kit with bag.
The ARRISUN 5 PAR is fabricated from corrosion resistant aluminum with highly efficient parabolic reflector. The head was computer-designed from the ground up with lenses from wide to narrow in mind that render a beam angle of 9 to 42 degrees. A 5-lens set is included in the kit.
The 400/575W ALF Electronic Ballast is a lightweight multi-voltage power source capable of dimming the ARRISUN 5 from 50-100%. The ballast features an Active Line Filter, also known as Power Factor Correction. ALF provides a higher Power Factor resulting in more efficient power use. This electronic ballast has at least 5% greater light intensity and at least 20% longer bulb life compared to magnetic ballasts. Other features include automatic lamp head detection and automatic switchover from 115 to 230VAC.
