I do open mic comedy and I wanted a mic stand that I can practice with that resembles ones you find at different venues. I also use it at different events that I MC.
Tough and low profile

Two of these survived a shipment that left both boxes bent, torn and shredded on the corners, with only minor scratches. Very tough! Also the stand bases are much lower profile than most, so they get kicked less in use.
