Now I have space on top of my desk for other equipment. Set up was easy but lengthy!

Just what I needed

I built a desk out of 1 1/2" thick oak and a pair of oak filing cabinets but the keyboard and mouse height were causing pain in my right shoulder and I thought it might be due to the height and location of the keyboard and mouse. I installed the drawer this morning and worked all day without pain! This did what I needed and it's pretty sturdy.

Packaging issue

I could not use the the mouse pad extension as all the screw holes were broken when I unpacked it. I could use an extension for an adding machine but it didn't appear to be sturdy enough for that anyway. I didn't want my mouse down there so I just omitted that part. Simple solution is to not pre-assemble that part. Pressure on the screws during shipping broke the holes they were in.

Just the thing I needed. As a musician, my instrument keyboards and Touchscreens are on the table. The computer keyboard and mouse are only used for setup. They easily are stored away from the workspace when not needed

Nice, economical keyboard tray

Great value. Not quite sure why others said the mouse tray was flimsy. If you need to remove the mouse tray be sure to keep track of the rubber inserts - losing track of one or two of them would result in a flimsy feel to the tray. I wish the drilling template was on a separate sheet from the instructions.

Very Satisfied with purchase

Well packaged, everything organized and ready to go. Assembly directions clear and easy to follow. Template provided made it easy to install under desk. Mouse tray handy, well located on either side and large enough for which ever model or size used. Easy to switch form left to right side. Would have liked to have a backstop on drawer to allow for storage of needs without worry of sliding off of backside.

It was quick and easy to install. It glides in and out nicely. My large, ergonomic keyboard does not fit well but I am making due. I'm not sure about the slide out mouse holder however I'm trying it out.

While being an economical device, this piece should be decent enough for general everyday use and hold up for a while. If you do have any issues with it, you would 30 days from the time of purchase to return the item.

How long are the provided screws? I’m guessing it would be best to use your own if the supplied are too short

What is the depth of the screws? I would hate to have it penetrate so far that it comes through the top of my desk.
Asked by: Don
I’m having trouble accepting the idea that a screw penetration of less than a quarter of an inch is enough to carry the weight not only of the shelf, and the keyboard, but the pressure from striking the keys repeatedly. The last thing I want to do is to have this thing rip out of there wood. Have you received a lot of returns of this product for that reason?
