Epson Legacy Fibre Reviews
Fine Art
I've used different Epson papers for years. For art prints I had been printing on Ultrasmooth Fine Art, then switched to Hot Press Bright and Hot Press Natural. They worked well until I tried Legacy Fiber. I found the colors and contrast much more to my liking and have stuck with it ever since, along with my trusty 3880.
Lovely
Running through the usual suspects of photo rag papers, and with the correct printing icc. profiles and media selections, they're all pretty close with differences so subtle aside from textures, that it's really hard to tell them apart. I found the Legacy Fibre to an excellent replacement for Arches 88 or Canson's Rag Photographque II. There's really no difference between them other than the slightest of values, but I could be making that up trying too hard to find a difference. So the reason for switching over to the Epson is more from a price-point which adds up. No downsides, lovely paper, nice thickness and heft, excellent as the other rag papers and no optical brightness. Printing on a Canon Pro-1000 with zero issues, using the Canson Photo Rag II printer profiles made for the Canon printer.
