Epson Legacy Platine Reviews
My favorite glossy paper

I print mostly in B&W on matte paper, but when I feel the need for radiant colors, I always turn to Legacy Platine. It has a fairly subtle texture and really shows off color and detail.
Just like Canson Platine!

Excellent paper for final, exhibition quality printing, works especially well with black and white images and very much resembles traditional glossy photo paper when you air dried it. The paper I have been told IS made by Canson for Epson and I've tried both profiles (the Epson and the Canson) and the results are the same. Highly recommended.

Is this the same as Hahnemuhle Platine?
Is this the same as Hahnemuhle Platine?
The Epson Legacy Platine paper is intended for giclée printing while retaining a darkroom aesthetic. The Hahnemuhle Platine paper has no sizing, which makes it inadequate for inkjet printing, and is mostly for platinum or alternative printing processes. Based on your use case, your mileage may vary.

Would this paper hold up for cyanotype?
The Epson Legacy Platine Paper (17 x 22", 25 sheets), B&H # EPLEPLT1722, is designed to be used with inkjet printers; we could not guarantee that it would work for anything outside of what it is originally designed for.

I just noticed it as a matte finish. Do I use the Matte K ink on an epson 3880? I didn't switch fro the gloss K and at first glance the few prints look very fine!
The matte papers can be used with either the matte black ink or the photo black ink. The glossy and luster papers are limited to use with the photo black ink.

Q1: What is the diameter of the (cardboard?) tube at the center of the roll? Q2: How difficult is it to remove the curl of this thick paper & what method or tool do you use to do the flattening? Q3: What tips do you have to feed the paper into the printer without getting a feed error?
Besides the core diameter size, you also want to keep in mind the paper weight and to confirm that your printer is compatible to print this paper.

Will this paper work well with the Epson Stylus Photo R2880 and ultrachrome inks?
It should work fine. Just make sure to download the appropriate ICC PROFILE from the Epson website.
