I tutor math and science, and I needed a document camera for online tutoring. This camera works very nicely for that purpose. Students can see what I am writing.

Yes, its a camera and it does a nice job. You may want to use a manual focus though if you are going to be putting your hand in front as you draw so it doesn't focus on your hand more than the drawing.
