The Lens Turbo Adapter V2 for Full-Frame Nikon F Mount Lens to Fujifilm X Mount APS-C Camera from Mitakon Zhongyi allows a full-frame, AI, post-AI, or G-type, Nikon F mount lens to be mounted onto a Fujifilm X mount camera. While doing so, the adapter approximates the lens's angle of view as if it were placed directly on a camera with a full-frame sensor while providing a 1-stop increase over the lens's aperture range.

If a lens intended for 35mm film or similarly-sized "full-frame" camera sensors is connected to a camera with an APS-C sized sensor, it would project an image larger than the smaller sensor was built to accept. Able to capture only the center portion of the projected image, the effective angle of view of the lens would be narrowed, creating an in-camera "crop factor". The Lens Turbo Adapter V2 for full-frame Nikon F Mount Lens to Fujifilm X Mount APS-C Camera condenses the light from a lens designed for 35mm film or "full-frame" camera sensors and projects it onto the APS-C sensor. This allows the APS-C sensor to utilize more of the light gathered by the lens, which effectively eliminates the crop factor while making available to the sensor an additional 1 stop of light for each of the lens's f/stop settings.

This adapter is constructed from aluminum and plastic for durability while minimizing weight and its mounting rings are made of stainless steel to further prevent wear-and-tear. Inside are four lens elements, one of which is an extra-low dispersion element that helps to reduce chromatic aberrations.

When using the Lens Turbo Adapter V2 for full-frame Nikon F Mount Lens to Fujifilm X Mount APS-C Camera, a lens placed on it is kept securely attached via a push-button, side-locking knob. This adapter does not support electronic communication between an attached camera and lens. In order to control the aperture of G-type Nikon F-mount lenses, this adapter has a physical aperture control ring that can be used to open and close down the aperture of the lens.

This adapter may not fit all Nikon F mount lenses due to the degree with which rear optics may extend past the lens mount. Lenses with rear optics that extend more than 3mm past the lens mount are not recommended for use with the Lens Turbo Adapter V2 for full-frame Nikon F Mount Lens to Fujifilm X Mount APS-C Camera, and Blackmagic cinema cameras are incompatible as well.

  • Allows a full-frame frame, AI, post-AI, or G-type, Nikon F mount lens to be used with a Fujifilm X mount camera
  • Combination of adapter and full-frame frame, AI, post-AI, or G-type, Nikon F mount lens provides approximately the same angle of view with a Fujifilm X mount camera as if lens were placed on a full-frame sensor camera
  • Provides a 1-stop increase for the camera over the lens's aperture range
  • Aluminum and plastic components for durability and weight reduction
  • Stainless steel mounting rings further prevent wear-and-tear
  • Side-locking knob for secure attachment of lens

Lens Turbo Adapter V2 for Full-Frame Nikon F Mount Lens to Fujifilm X Mount APS-C Camera is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as advertised! You get full-frame field of view without having to give up your first-born. Of course there are compromises. First, it is manual focus only but the good news is that manually focusing using a hi-res EVF (and all the focusing aids) is easier than using you entry level/prosumer DSLR's optical/pentaprism/pentamirror viewfinder. More keepers!!! Second, it is manual aperture. It really is not a big deal (for me anyway). And last but not least, some of your lenses may not fit properly. Lenses that worked for me include Nikkor 50mm f1.8, 85mm f1.8, 180mm ED F2.8, Samyang 35mm f1.4 and 85mm f.14. Image quality did not suffer compared to the same lenses mounted to my D90. Highly recommended!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from awsome adapter it works as promised. One more f/stop, FF angle view in my croped sensor (Fuji XE2s) And the the quality of image is remarkable. I didnt perform a scientific test, but did compare pics of same subject with mitakon and with no glass adapter and couldnt see any difference is sharpness nor color rendition.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far, so good. Had to wait a little while to get mine (backorder) but so far its been worth the wait. This adapter is able to control aperture for both Ai/AF-D and G-type lenses, although you must use the aperture control on the adapter. Image quality seems really good, though I have not done any close inspection. I have even tried it with some DX lenses and it seems to work with no noticeable vignetting. Given the price of other G-type converters its worth the money for that alone.
