Steiner 15x56 HX Binoculars
Key Features
  • Compact Roof Prisms
  • Fully Multi-Coated Optics
  • Proprietary Nano-Protection Coatings
  • Wide Angle Viewing: 69°
Ergonomically designed to fit comfortably in the hand, Steiner Optics' 15x56 HX Binoculars have a powerful magnification that enables you to resolve details in thick brush, even at long distances, and over-sized 56mm objectives that push the binoculars' low-light performance past where smaller models cannot see. All optical surfaces are fully multi-coated with Steiner's proprietary broad-band coatings which help to increase light transmission, improve contrast, and ensure true color rendition across the entire visible spectrum. All exposed lens surfaces are also coated with Steiner's "Nano Protection" which adds a thin film to repel water, dust, dirt, and oils so they stay clear and clean easily. Its ultra-wide angle of view, coupled with a comfortable exit pupil, help to minimize visible hand-shake that is often associated with high-power binoculars while also ensuring that even when your pupil is dilated in low-light you'll be able to see the entire scene without vignetting.

Steiner HX 15x56 Overview

Complementing the HX's optical performance are construction details that make them durable enough for everyday use. The chassis is made from Makrolon polycarbonate that is impact and corrosion-resistant. Makrolon is also temperature-resistant, so the optical tubes won't expand and contract with temperature fluctuation, which, over time, can cause the optics to move out of collimation; preventing the binoculars from being able to achieve sharp focus. The chassis is wrapped with a long-lasting NBR rubber armoring which not only protects it from drops and impacts, it also gives the binoculars a slip-resistant grip - especially in cold and wet weather. The binoculars' optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to make them water and fogproof, even in extreme conditions. While this model's large objectives push the weight up to 44 ounces, there is a 1/4"-20 mounting hole on the front of the center hinge for an optional adapter that will allow you to attach the binoculars on a tripod, helping to eliminate fatigue and visible hand-shake during long glassing sessions.
