Epson Legacy Sample Reviews
Printer Paper testing and evaluation
I upgraded my photo printer and along with the upgrade comes the need to reaccess papers and to discover new options. I have been getting hints and tips from pepole I follow and those I assciate with. I was getting rave reviews on two of the papers in this collection, listening to my peers I purchase a Epson Legacy Paper Sample Pack. unbeenonced to me Epsom does not provide ICC profiles for this set and are only support pigment ink printers mi is a combination of dye and pigmant ink I contact an expert on ICC profiles he did not have any for this paper and advised me to look at specs for other paper to find the original manfacture I found Canson made the paper and three of them were direct source from canson yes all the specs matched and the remainder had close alternates and som from other supplier. The two they were mentioning were fabulous and the color on one paper was cloase and the second was dead on. I have two sets of Icc profiles and when I get more paper i will use the Canson Icc profiles A third paper they did not talk a bout also rendered stunning print. Supbsequent to testing the epson papersI bought a sample of Canson's papers and a sample art paper package from Red River paper, it has not arrived yet I use basicallly a contact sheet with styles of photos I shoot a repeat for each paper type and use them to compare results Another I use is a color spectrum I look at consistency, color breadth and depth, hue and tone The samples are attached. In summary I was impressed with the quality and thickness of all the papers Their etching, fibre and Platine papers provided stunning results and color accuracy was close on plantine and that may improve with using the Canson Icc file. The ectching and fibre were very close to what was on my screens both also transended across styles. I would use either as an all around solution for color
LOVE ALL THREE
I've not used papers from this sample pack but will soon. I love these Legacy papers.
