Loading film used to take 4-5 tries and 10 minutes. Now I get on the first try in 20 seconds. Loading 120 film on the Paterson reel was absolutely impossible for me, this reel made it pretty easy. Even badly curled film goes on well. Very much worth the money. Why doesn't Paterson just adopt this as as their default design?

Just recently started having trouble unscrewing a lid off of a jar, and sure enough, today in darkroom could not "unscrew" the film reel. Anyone else with arthritic hands have experience with the Omega RKRReel in terms of ease of use?
Asked by: Emily
These reels are easy to use and typically don't have any issues with loading or disassembly.

question

Has anyone compared these to the Samigon version which is quite a bit more expensive but seems very similar to this one? Are they the same? Is one better than the other?
Asked by: Marcus
Honestly, I believe they are the same. I had the same question, and ordered this one. After receiving and using it, I ordered a few more! Loads 120 like a dream.
