Much Easier Loading

I always struggled loading 120 film onto the Paterson reels. These are much easier to use, not just for 120, but 35mm, as well.

So easy to use

This reel was WAY easier to use than the standard reel. It has guides that make starting the film pretty fool-proof. Big fan.

Brand AP Photo Industries Spain not Omega but seems to be the same. Not sure why it is not listed as AP. Well made. Works MUCH better than Paterson reels. The 2 pieces separate easily & a dream to load. B&H prompt delivery- USA to New Zealand in 5 days! Can only buy Paterson in NZ so great to have B&H supplying as no one else does.

Different from packaging.

I ordered a Omega Universal Adjustable Multi format feel, turns out to be another brand which is way much cheaper on other site.

Easy film loading

A great replacement for an old Patterson equivalent. Makes loading film in a dark bag very easy, 35 & 120 is a cinch. Durable design (I've got a 20 year old version which I still use).

Makes darkroom life easier

It's the little things - like having a reel that's easy to load in the dark. I use 120 film, and regardless of brand/model, when spreading the reels wide to accommodate 120 film, that increases the challenge of getting it started on the reel. This helps tremendously. Good investment for less stress.

Loading 120 is much easier

I bought this due to having difficulty loading 120 into the standard reel. I could never get both sides to 'catch' in the relatively small tabs but with this reel, it is much easier to insert the film. The plastic also feels more slick and I feel like I have less binding when getting to the end of the roll. Recommend!

Best reel I ever used.

The reel is excellent to load 120 film in a tent or darkroom. A lot easier and faster then using a Paterson reel. Fits perfect in a Paterson Tank.

question

Has anyone compared these to the Samigon version which is quite a bit more expensive but seems very similar to this one? Are they the same? Is one better than the other?
Asked by: Marcus
Honestly, I believe they are the same. I had the same question, and ordered this one. After receiving and using it, I ordered a few more! Loads 120 like a dream.
