Snoop Camera Insert (Small) is rated 2.6 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from IF YOU'RE NOT USING IT IN A BACKPACK, NEW MODEL IS USELESS I am very, very unhappy with the new square camera and lens insert. Unless you are using a (largish) backpack to store camera bodies and lenses, the new square shape in a 'messenger' style bag is essentially useless. I frequently need to change bodies and lenses, and the squarish shape just does not facilitate easily or quickly getting to your equipment. With the old shape I could keep the messenger bag on, reach in easily swap or add. In addition, the square shape is JUST WRONG for the shape of the messenger bag. I have had many, many bags and accessories from TIMBUK2, and never have I seen such an amateurish bag.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I liked the older model better... I am very disappointed with the replacement to the original snoop camera insert. It is not really useful as an insert or a stand alone bag. The original snoop insert allowed access through the top of the bag, while in a messenger bag. It is really difficult to do that with the new bag and the way the internals are laid out, you have to put the bag down and open it to access different equipment. Not useful for on the go photography. Unfortunately I had sell the bag in order to get an older model.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bring back the old Snoop insert and keep refining this.... Had the old snoop insert with my classic messenger bag (CMB), but when I had to replace my old trustee CMB I picked up the Rogue backpack and this new snoop insert, but was disappointed that this new insert was not as well crafted as the old one. Furthermore the way you access your gear while it's in here doesn't work well with either a backpack or a messenger bag; I'm not sure what your R&D team was doing, but this product was just phoned in unlike other great products you guys have produced. (Un)Fortunately I was forced to find a 3rd party camera insert that fits in my new Rogue backpack and works correctly for getting a DSLR body + lens attached and (2) extra lenses in there while keeping access to my gear simple and secured without having to remove the whole insert from the backpack to access the camera, changes a lens or put the camera away during a session of photography in the city.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from poor design; would appear to not be user friendly new "cubic" shape not suitable for linear messenger bags or ease of access like their original snoop liner bag. Sales person I spoke with seemed only interested in promoting the "company line" of the versatility of this replaced shape/design insert and non-uniqueness of the now defunk snoop camera bag. They've just lost a customer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent Camera Case Insert I saw some bad reviews of the camera insert, but it works perfectly for me. Allows me to carry my Sony A7, three primes lenses and a filter kit, all fitting into my Timbuk2 everyday carry backpack. It is a little awkward to access the gear inside the insert, requiring you to fully remove the insert to open it, but it works fine for me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the trick! Does exactly what I bought it for. I use this and insert it into my Patagonia Refugio 28 liter daypack. It fits my Nikon D7000, Sigma 35mm 1:1.4, and my Nikor 70-300mm. Has a side mesh pocket that can hold a few small items as well!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not as sturdy, but extra functional. I own the small Timbuk2 Snoop Camera Insert andsmall Timbuk2 Snoop CameraBag Insert. The black bag on this page is theBag Insert. After owning the plain Insert for about a year, I decided that it wasn't suited for the job. It is shaped to fit in Timbuk2's Classic Messenger bags to convert your normal bag, to an inconspicuous camera bag. It did this fairly well, though I felt the whole experience was cumbersome. So I bought the Snoop Camera Bag Insert. I am both pleased and a bit disappointed with the purchase. In terms of functionality, this bag wins hands-down. It's a more reasonable shape that winds up holding just as much equipment in a smaller overall package. I use it to stow my Nikon D3300, the stock lens and an additional prime. There's even a tad bit more room left over! The disappointment is with the build quality. I've almost exclusively bought Timbuk2 bags over the last few years as I've grown accustomed to their high quality bags that seem to last forever. This bag likely won't last forever. It might not even last a year. The fabric quality is clearly a severe downgrade compared to the other insert they make and has minimal padding in the top flap. The outermost fabric feels like the material used to make the walls of department store tents. If this bag were to brush up against something with a rough edge, I'd bet the outer lining would tear. With that said, however, I do love this bag. It's very functional and intended to be stowed away inside another bag, so maybe the choice in lightweight and cheap material was intentional. I got mine on sale for $30, and I would absolutely buy it again at that price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does what it's supposed to do Bought this so I can keep my dslr in my old messenger bag with relative safety. While not quite large enough for a large dslr and more than two lenses, this case provides enough room for a small DSLR or mirrorless and a zoom + prime or maybe three primes. Feels secure and is flexible with how it can be positioned.
