This versatile Flash I Drop Point Folding Knife from SOG features a durable, 2.5" straight-edge AUS 8 stainless steel blade that flips out of a 3.3" glass-reinforced nylon handle. The opening mechanism utilizes a color coded safety button which helps to ensure that the knife remains in the closed position when intended. However, when this folding knife is opened, its SOG Assisted Technology's opposing high-tension coil springs progressively increase the force applied to the thumb stud for easy, near-instantaneous blade deployment.
The blade's semi-shiny, satin finish provides a textured, polished look while the handle is designed to resist impacts and abrasions, plus chemicals such as motor oil, transmission fluid, as well as methanol. When subjected to extremes of hot or cold, the handle's material also promotes a comfortable grip.
