The silver NW-ZX100HN Walkman from Sony is a high-resolution digital music player featuring audiophile quality playback with Bluetooth compatibility, 128GB of internal storage, and a lightweight, highly rigid aluminum frame. The Walkman uses the S-Master HX digital amplifier, which was developed to provide high resolution playback utilizing a mastering-quality digital amplifier for a wide frequency response, while minimizing distortion and noise. Other enhancements include an upgraded audio pathway by filling the VIA hole in the printed circuit board with copper to help lower the impedance and stabilize the power line of the circuit, which facilitates a firm bass sound, bright high ranges, and clear vocals.
The player supports music files up to 24-bit/192 kHz and is compatible with MP3, WMA, FLAC, WAV, AAC, HE-AAC, Apple Lossless, AIFF, and DSD (1-bit, 2.8/5.6 MHz) formats. Additional storage (up to 128GB) is available via optional microSD card. The battery fully charges in 5 hours, while the playback time boasts up to 70 hours for MP3s and up to 55 hours for high-resolution file formats.
