The Photographer's Formulary Palladium Printing Kit provides a good introduction to the alternative photographic process of Palladium Printing.
Palladium Printing has almost the same scale, richness, and delicacy as platinum prints, however palladium prints are warmer and have a smoother tone.
Platinum prints tend to be neutral-gray, while palladium prints are warm-black to sepia in tone. The printing techniques used in palladium printing are almost identical to those used in the Platinum process.
The Palladium Kit contain the same chemicals as do the Platinum kits except that they contain the palladium chloride solution in place of the platinum solution.
The 30ml kit will make up to 24 - 8 x 10" prints.
Note:The kit does not contain the paper you will need for printing, nor the following special equipment not usually found in a darkroom:
- Camel-Hair Brush
- Ultraviolet Light Source
- Hair Dryer
- A small mixing container (such as a jigger glass)
- Plywood Board
- Split-Back Print Frame
