The Transcend 256GB JetDrive Lite 330 works with the 13" MacBook Pro (Retina) late 2012, early and late 2013, mid-2014, and early 2015, as well as 14 and 16" MacBook Pro 2021 models. It will not be compatible with any other units.

You can use the Transcend 1TB JetDrive Lite 330 Flash Expansion Card SD card as a boot drive with an early 2015 MacBook Pro, but I do not recommend using it that way due to the slower read speeds. This SD card is designed more for storage expansion than creating a boot drive.

not recommended this product. My MAC cannot recognize this drive recently and asked to initialize the drive. Doing so I lost all my data there. I tried to reformat and re-initialized once, the problem just came back yesterday.
