Lomography Lomo'Instant Overview

Enjoy the versatility of four instant cameras in one with this Lomo'Instant White Edition Camera and 3 Lenses from Lomography. The Lomo'Instant accepts FUJIFILM INSTAX MINI film, producing credit card-sized prints almost immediately after pressing the shutter release button. The wide-angle 27mm lens features a range from f/8 all the way down to f/32. Three additional lens attachments allow for multiple options. The portrait lens is a 35mm equivalent suitable for indoors and out. The close-up lens focuses as close as 3.9" and the fisheye lens attachment allows for 170° circular images.

Three shooting modes allow for seamless captures in a variety of lighting conditions. The flash-on auto mode operates with a default aperture value of f/16 so you can adjust the exposure compensation dial to your liking. The flash-on manual mode is well-suited to indoor shooting, enabling you to switch between N for normal daytime shots and B for long exposures with the flash remaining on. The flash-off manual mode is designed for long exposures at night, giving you the ability to switch between N for normal daytime shots and B for long exposures with the flash switched off.

In addition to long exposures, the Lomo'Instant allows you to shoot unlimited multiple exposures. Four color gels are included, so you can filter your flash with blue, red, purple, or yellow to distort the tone or artistic vision of your shot. A tripod mount and cable release mount provide additional shooting possibilities. For all your selfie needs, a tiny mirror is located on the left of the lens. Four user-supplied AAA batteries ensure steady operation for all of your artistic and experimental photography endeavors.

question

In one product image, I think I see a 27mm f/1.8 lens - is that correct? It does say it comes with a 'portrait' lens but no further info provided...
Asked by: Will B.
Lomography lists the lens mm in 35mm film/full-frame digital equivalent focal lengths rather than the true focal lengths. Given the size of the film used, the unlisted actual focal lengths would be much higher. So in Lomography land, the 27mm lens on the camera has the same perspective and field of view as a 27mm lens on a 35mm film/full-frame digital camera. The add-on portrait lens is a 35mm equivalent. No focal length is given for the macro and the fish-eye.

question

Can it be use like a Digital camera ?
Asked by: Jim L.
no, it's an instant film type canera, like the old Polaroids. You can scan the prints into a computer and then have a digital copy of your image, though
