The Telex BP-325 Dual-Channel Binaural Programmable Beltpack and HR-1R5 Headset Kit from B&H features a microprocessor controlled 2-channel select intercom beltpack and an HR-1R5 single-muff, medium-weight RTS communication headset. It is designed for use with an RTS two-wire intercom system.
The BP-325 beltpack can be used to send and receive call signals to other devices on the intercom channel including audible call alerts on the listen side. It is compatible with dynamic microphones only but features 4-or 5-pin XLR headset connections. It is powered externally via the intercom system power supply on channel 1.
The HR-1R5 headset has an elliptical earpiece and a comfortable moleskin-covered headband designed for even weight distribution. The microphone and earpiece is optimized for speech intelligibility and is geared for extended-wear comfort. It is compact and foldable for easy transport and storage.
Styled in black, the Telex/RTS RTS BP-325 is a 2-channel portable beltpack station designed to work in conjunction with RTS Two-Wire intercom systems and the appropriate, dynamic headset mic. It facilitates conversations across the air-waves in one of two fashions: you can either hold down the Talk button—which instantiates momentary mode, allowing you to remain inaudible when you're not pressing the button—or, conversely, tap the Talk button a few times, which will occasion the mechanism to latch into an ever-on position. Be advised, if you instantiate latching mode, everything you say will be heard until such time as you turn it off.
This unit also sports the ability to send out a call signal, should you need page someone on one of the two provided channels. Likewise, you might also find yourself paged; in this case, the red call LED will flash, presenting you with the opportunity to speak with the person courting your attention.
The RTS BP-325 also features a sidetone adjustment control for changing the level of your own voice in your discrete pair of headphones whilst talking. The unit supports mono and stereo headsets, and there's also a separate connector for monaural carbon-mic headsets. Furthermore, the RTS BP-325 sports the ability to generate an inaudible signal which can effectively "kill" the ongoing signals of unattended intercom stations.
The Telex/RTS HR-1R5 is a single-muff, medium-weight RTS communications headset with an elliptical earpiece, and a comfortable, moleskin-covered headband designed for even weight distribution.
The HR-1R5 is equipped with 21dB of noise reduction and an adjustable dynamic noise-canceling boom microphone. The frequency response of the microphone and earpiece is optimized for speech intelligibility, and the overall premium design is geared for extended-wear comfort in the field. The HR-1R5 features a 5-pin male XLR connector.
