Photographers' Formulary 10-0200 100G Reviews

I love B&H, but not this item

I use this chemical for developing 4x5 tin type and positive developing wet plate photos by adding 3g per 1,000ml of 1:59 hc110 developer at 22deg for 3.5min. This recent batch was very clumpy and hard to break apart for accurate measurements and seemed like it may have been exposed to moisture (maybe the container wasn't sealed tight at the factory?) So the 3 plates I tried to develop with this batch did not come out correctly. One was my fault / over exposure, but chemically it still did not react correctly. The other two developed into a negative, but failed in the silver conversion. I am going to up the concentration and try one more time, but I am convinced this batch of ammonium Thiocyanate is bad.

Will purchase again!

The development process that you are using will determine how much powered from the Photographers' Formulary Ammonium Thiocyanate - 100 Grams bottle. Once you determine both the amount of powder necessary you can then divide that by the 100 grams you purchased.
