The Z240 Series Tower Workstation from HP delivers powerful performance with its tower design and is geared towards professionals who require high reliability. This system is powered by a 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7-6700 Quad-Core processor which will allow you to run multiple applications simultaneously and also features a burst speed of up to 4.0 GHz. The 16GB of 2133 MHz DDR4 RAM helps to ensure smooth multitasking and also allows the computer to quickly access frequently-used files and programs. While the current memory configuration is 2 x 8GB, there are four total memory slots that will allow the RAM to be upgraded to 64GB, using a 16GB chip in each of the four memory slots.

For storage of your files, a 1TB 7200 rpm SATA hard drive offers quick access to your data. If you want to add external storage drives or other peripherals, the Z240 features 6 x USB 3.0 ports and 4 x USB 2.0 ports. For users who wish to add additional components or upgrade the existing drive bays, the Z240 has 2 x 3.5" internal bays, 1 x 2.5" internal drive bay, and 2 x external 5.25" bays. There are also a total of four PCIe expansion slots and one M.2 slot that uses a PCIe Gen3 x4 connection.

The dedicated NVIDIA Quadro K1200 graphics card features 4GB of discrete GDDR5 VRAM, delivers a sharp, clear picture, and features four Mini DisplayPort 1.2 outputs that can support up to four directly connected displays at a maximum resolution of 3840 x 2160 @ 60 Hz. Whether you are listening to music, watching a movie, or playing a game, the integrated Realtek HD ALC221-VB audio controller outputs high definition audio and delivers higher fidelity than standard audio controllers.

The Z240 Series Small Form Factor Workstation includes a USB keyboard, a USB mouse, and a power cord. It operates using 400W power supply that is 92% efficient and runs using 90-269 VAC at 47-66 Hz. While the installed operating system is Windows 7 Professional (64-bit), a Windows 10 Professional (64-bit) license and media is included.
