I use this unit on almost everyone of my tripods with a spotting scope; so that the scope will have a level horizon, especially when used for digiscoping. Excellent dollar value, for a well made unit.

It's not great, but it's okay

It's a bit hard to adjust. The slightest movement causes the bubble to go too far. It's pretty hard to get it centered. Plus, the leveling bubble is very small, kind of hard to see unless you're in a lot of light. But, it will suffice until I find something better.

On the Befree GT, where does this leveler go? Between the Ball head and the tripod? Is there a way to attach above the ball head?
Asked by: Dale
Leveling bases typically go between a tripod head and the legs.

question

Would you trust this to hold securely with the tripod center pole mounted horizontally, such as is supported by Manfrotto 055 models?
Asked by: David
With a load capacity or 22 pounds this is a very sturdy Leveling Unit. Just as long as the load is below 22 pounds it should work well horizontally.
