The Wedge from Matthews is a portable, low POV camera mounting device that ensures fast, stable camera positioning in a variety of situations, offering increased creative filming possibilities. Film, video, or DSLR cameras can be mounted to the Wedge via a ball head, flat plate mount, fluid head, or a 100mm ball fluid head (all available separately), allowing full camera movements. When the BH-30 ball head is used for camera mounting, the down tilt (negative) will be 90° and the up tilt (positive) will depend on the camera size.
Three adjustable legs with floating/self-leveling feet ensure fast, stable positioning of The Wedge with the camera mounted on it. The unit features six 1/4"-20 and six 3/8"-16 threaded holes, and six 3/8" non-threaded holes around the perimeter of the camera plate. These multiple tapped and untapped holes allow for the addition of accessories or tie downs. The camera plate also features four central holes to mount the risers for the 100mm fluid head bowl. The unit is manufactured from high-quality, 6061-T6 aluminum and finished with flat black anodize.
