Lectrosonics SRc Overview

The SRc Dual-Channel Slot-Mount ENG Receiver from Lectrosonics consist of two separate receivers built into a single, ultra-compact housing with adapters for video-camera-receiver slots and for stand-alone use. They can be used when paired with a transmitter & microphone (sold separately) in various environments for ENG (Electronic News Gathering), EFP (Electronic Field Productions) and other audio applications.

Each receiver features Digital Hybrid Wireless technology that provides compandor-free audio quality and compatibility with other wireless systems. The RF performance is stable over a wide temperature range, making the receiver perfectly suited in rough environmental conditions.

The front panel has a menu-driven LCD interface and four membrane switches which are used to view and alter settings. In addition, the LCD window displays the pilot-tone indicator, diversity activity, RF level, audio level, and transmitter battery status for both receivers.

Furthermore, a built-in spectrum analyzer scans across the tuning range of the receiver and displays a histogram of RF activity across the band. Areas of RF activity are easily recognizable. The two internal receivers can be operated separately and both have switching, antenna-combining diversity, or in tandem with ratio-diversity reception.

Finally, a variety of output adapters and mounting options are available for camera-slot operation. The receivers are powered from an external 7 to 18 VDC source.

Lectrosonics SRc Reviews

Well worth the price

I was using a G4 and needed some more mics. There are a lot of options out there but these just work. I wanted something with good range and no dropout issues. I got these for one thing and now I use them for everything. They are crystal clear. I started using them at church also and there is no issue even with everyone on wireless devices. It is my first Lectrosonics system but definitely not my last.

Great machine

I bought the SRC as my first dual receiver having used the SRB a few times beforehand. The long and short of this thing is that it’s a workhorse that is accurate in its scanning and compatibility with devices is fantastic. The one downside to this thing is that it still has the trouble with Walkie-talkies if they are used too close to it. So be aware of your proximity to two-way radios. I can’t recommend this product enough. Truly the best tech Lectrosonics has to offer. I use this in an ENG bag for reality tv and it helps with cutting the weight down from the old 411a receivers. Also the versatility of the bottom plate adapters lets you use it in a camera slot, a rack mount, or for firmware updates. A must buy.

Is this compatible with older Lectro transmitters (e.g. UM400a)?
Asked by: Steve
Yes, the Lectrosonics SRc Dual-Channel Slot-Mount ENG Receiver can be used with older Lectrosonics transmitters that operate on the same frequency band. The receiver has different compatibility mode settings for use with transmitters other than those from the Lectrosonics Digital Hybrid Wireless series.

Does this work as is with the Sound Devices SL-2?
Asked by: Liam
To connect the Lectrosonics SRc Dual-Channel Slot-Mount ENG Receiver (A1: 470.100 to 537.575 MHz) to the Sound Devices SL-2 via TA3, you will need to use the Lectrosonics SREXT SR Receiver Mounting Kit [BH #LESREXT]. If you want to slot connect, you will need to use the Lectrosonics SRDB25AES [BH #LESRDB25AES].

You can use the Lectrosonics AMJKIT Whip Antenna for UM and SM Beltpacks, SR Receivers (B&H # LEAMJKIT) to replace the antennas for the Lectrosonics SRc Dual-Channel Slot-Mount ENG Receiver. The kit includes cutting template and color caps. You will need two of the antennas.

Asked by: Dave
You would need SR9VBP to be able to run this on a 9V battery. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/663969-REG/Lectrosonics_SR9VBP_SR9VBP_9_Volt_Battery.html

What type of batteries does the receiver and transmitter use?
Asked by: Alan
This is a slot in receiver which means it will not connect to a battery directly. Instead it will feed off the camera power/battery or through other slot systems. If you don't already have a slot-in system, this is most likely not the right system to suit your needs.

question

Whats included in the box?
Asked by: Paul
In the box is the receiver, a wall mounted power supply, and 2 antennas. The bottom plate, which is selected according to the way it will be used, must be ordered separately. For example, for a Panasonic camera you need to order an SRSUPER plate. Please see the Lectrosonics website for a list of available bottom plates.

question

What is the power input? What kind of cable could I use to go from an NP-1 or BDS into the SRc?
Asked by: Harper
The receiver accepts from 6-18V d.c. @1.4W, so it is compatible with most any battery or DC supply system. The connector is an LZR threaded locking plug. Our PS200 cable goes from a Hirose to LZR so that might help. (You didn't state what type of connector is at the supply side). Also - and very important: you must order with the receiver a bottom plate that is suitable to your application. If the receiver is not being used in a camera the most commonly used plate is the SREXT. This gives you both audio channels out on TA3 connectors and the LZR power input port.
