    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Get this battery! This battery came in handy for a wedding. After a 13 hour day it barely made a dent in the life. They are very expensive, but worth the investment for accurate power indicators. I must buy 3 more now!

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well, but consider the alternatives This battery provides about 6 hours of runtime in my Panasonic UX180 and DVX200 cameras, and about 3 hours in my PX270. With the first two, that is usually enough to make it through a day of shooting without a battery change. When used with the Panasonic AG-BRD50 charger, you can charge this battery in about 2/3 the time of their older types. This might be a convenience from time to time, but it still takes several hours to charge. Not really "quick" in practical terms. I always leave the house with more than enough batteries to make it through a day's work, then charge them up overnight, so this feature is of only limited use to me. Some of the third party manufacturers like Swit, Ikan and CoreSWX have compatible batteries of similar capacity with features like power taps and USB charging outlets, and all are less expensive than the Panasonic. I have found them to be of equal quality and reliability to the OEM batteries, so you should compare features and prices and consider your own needs and working style before paying extra for the Panasonic's accelerated charging feature alone. All these batteries now have a handy test button built in so you can evaluate the battery condition before installing it. On the Panasonic, it also indicates the progress of charging when used with the new faster charger.
