Spitfire Audio PP018 DC Noisemaker - Esoteric Instruments Sample Library (Download)

The PP018 DC Noisemaker from Spitfire Audio is a sample library that presents the talents of David Coulter and his renowned performances on the musical saw. This original set of sounds shows why he is in such high demand as a collaborator and performer for a multitude of well-known professional artists. The original recordings were done with four microphone perspectives in a dry environment to allow for greater processing possibilities, the latter task performed by an equally well-known producer/musician, Martyn Ware.

In addition to the saw, other patches feature a silk Japanese fan creating thunderous Taiko-style sounds, as well as the sounds of a nose flute, a Jaws Harp, and more. The Ostinatum section of the instrument is not quite an arpeggiator, nor a sequencer, but a device that allows for building complex patterns dependent on what's being played. A full version of KONTAKT 5 is required to utilize this sample library.
