The TY-70A from Sirui is a basic, Arca-type compatible, aluminum quick release plate normally supplied with the Sirui VA-5 Fluid Head. The plate features a basic Arca dovetail design which allows it to fit most Arca-type clamps, tripod, and monopod heads. Sirui has also equipped this plate with its standard safety restraints, which prevent the plate from accidentally detaching when properly used with Sirui safety-lock heads.

Does the brass pin push in for use with mirrorless camera?
It is meant to be used with heavier and/or long equipment such as spotting scopes or long heavy lenses where you mount from the lens base. Those bases typically have a hole in them that lines up with this pin to prevent twisting. The pin is spring loaded and will push down and out of the way if there isnât a hole for it to fit into. It can also be removed.
