The four-section tripod goes as tall as 58", with three independent leg angles to provide stability on uneven terrain. Rubber feet prevent skidding on smooth surfaces. On the top tube section of the tripod, foam grips provide comfort when handling in cold temperatures. Fold the legs 180° in reverse to make the tripod more compact for travel and storage.

The Arca-type compatible ball head comes with a quick release plate. Compared to the previous generation head, the locking knobs are larger for the panning base, the ball head, and the quick release. On the opposite side of the locking knob of the plate, there is a red safety release button. The release button lets you slide off the quick release plate without completely opening the quick release clamp.

Rapid Center Column

Same twist-lock system as the legs, with a half turn to open for quick setup.

Reversible Center Column

Reverse the center column for macro and low-angle photography.

Center Column Hook

Located at the bottom of the center column is a hook to hang a sand bag or a camera bag, for extra stability, on those windy days.

Independent Leg Spread

3 independent leg positions to accommodate any uneven terrain and provide extra stability.

Reversible Folding Legs

Fold legs 180° in reverse for compactness and storage.

Rubber Feet

Maintain traction on any terrain.

Foam Grips

Provides comfort for handling the tripod in cold temperatures.

Red Safety Release Button

The release button lets you slide off the quick release plate without completely opening the quick release clamp.

Is the diameter smaller or larger than the Mefoto Roadtrip Alu? Id like to replace my Roadtrip by a lighter but more stable tripod. Sorry if my question is duplicated...have problem submitting this.

Yes, the diameter of this tripod is a bit smaller than the Mefoto Roadtrip and should be easier for you to travel with.

question

How can this tripod show a load capacity of 13.2 pounds when the C-10S ball head it uses only shows a load capacity of 8.8 pounds?????
Asked by: David G.
The C-10S ball head on this tripod can be replaced with a higher capacity one. You just screw it off and put the higher capacity head on. I hope this helps.

question

What's the functionality difference between this and ET-1204 line, besides flip/twist lock and the small differences in weight/height?
Asked by: Carlin M.
I have both the Sirui T004 (aluminum version of the T024) and the Sirui N-1205 (very similar to the T-1204, except the N model has a monopod option). I can tell you that the T004/T024 tripod is much smaller in overall size - it looks like a SCALED-DOWN N-1205 or T-1204. For example, the top collar where the 3 legs connect is much smaller, the hinges are smaller, etc. This is NOT a criticism against the T004/T024 - it is intended to be a smaller tripod, as shown by its max support of 13 lbs vs the 26 lbs for the larger tripods. The weight isn't everything in a tripod - the size matters too, and it is just easier to carry the smaller T004/T024. I use the T004 for an Olympus m43 camera, and use the N-1205 for a Canon DSLR when I want to travel light. So they both have their purpose.

question

Does the listed weight of 920 grams include the ball head weight? Saw that the ball head itself weighs 200 grams so I am curious to know if the legs are 920 grams or 720 grams.
Asked by: Stephane K.
The weight of this tripod with the head attached has been such a pleasant surprise to me. I have arms and neck problems and I'm very limited in the weight I can use. I love this tripod. It's so sturdy, with the legs extended. I love the ball head. It looks so small, but it works so smooth and easily handles my husbands Canon sx50 camera. I can not rate this tripod high enough. I thought I would never find a tripod I could use. It's quality, everything works so smooth, light weight and the coating on the metal is great for colder weather. Look at the weight on your camera, it it fits in there spec list, try it, don't look at the ball size I think it will not work.
