The EPH-6 Electronic Panoramic Head from Revo is a wirelessly controlled and Bluetooth enabled motorized panoramic head ideal for use by both photographers and videographers.

Capable of full 360° rotation at a number of speed settings, the EPH-6 has been designed to add continuous panning to your video or time-lapse photography. The head's movement may be controlled using a combination of directional, speed, and rotation settings, which are controlled by the included wireless remote. Panning may be set to either 90°, 180°, or 360° intervals while rotation speed may be set to either 15, 30, or 60 minutes per revolution. The user may also select whether they wish the head to pan in either the left or right direction.

The included wireless remote features dedicated buttons for each of the head's control options and is capable of controlling the head from up to 30' away. Additionally, integrated Bluetooth connectivity allows the user to wirelessly trigger their smartphone camera's shutter via the remote.

Physically, the EPH-6 is constructed of durable aluminum alloy, stands 2.3" tall, and features a base diameter of 3.7". It's top plate is equipped with a 1/4"-20 mounting screw—adaptable to 3/8"-16 if required—and features a rubber anti-friction and anti-scratch surface to prevent your equipment from damage or unwanted movement. With a load capacity of 6 lb, the EPH-6 can only function properly with a moderate amount of weight and is not recommended for use with large, heavy cameras. In terms of power, the EPH-6 uses an integrated lithium-ion rechargeable battery which provides up to 4 hours of continuous use per charge. The battery may be charged in 2 hours via the built-in USB port and includes a charging cable for this purpose.

The product looks good and have done a video on 360 in 15min that looks awesome in real time and accelerated, no ramping or jogging Feel still and tough, BUT the bubble come damage without liquid and thats a downside. I have fear on the tilt, not sure if can do it with the 5Dmk3 + 50mm1.8, feel like it can't

Not bad, but not perfect.

I bought this to step up from a similar but simpler, cheaper, wind-up version of the same thing (Veho VCC-100-XL MUVI X-Lapse). The EPH-6 does handle heavier cameras with better control of the planning angle, speed and direction, so that's good. Even a little remote control and a rechargeable battery. Everything seems to work pretty well. Things I don't like so much: mounting the head on a tripod and the camera on the head are both very cumbersome. You really need 2 quick-release adaptors to mount this thing without a lot of fumbling. The head includes a bubble level, which of course is an absolute necessity for doing time-lapse pans. Unfortunately, on the head I received there was no bubble in the bubble level! (see attached photo). I assume that was a manufacturing flaw, but the placement of the level - underneath the camera when attached - seem like a very poor design.

Good for timelapse only

This is really good product for timelapse only, not for real time video panning. Shots are not smooth.

This is the worst piece of equipment that you can buy.

What's with the bubble level??

I returned one of these heads before because the bubble level was broken (see review below). B&H handled the return efficiently, the only problem being the replacement pan head ALSO had a defective level. This isn't good.

Not that great a deal.

I bought two of these when they were on sale and it was quite apparent why they were so heavily discounted - there is quite a lot of play in the rotating head, which for time lapse photography is a no-no, especially if you plan on mounting it at a slight tilt. Works as expected, but that play is what puts in in the equipment dog house.

Good entry level device.

Inexpensive entry point into motion heads. Plus - easy to set up. Minus - doesn't exactly stop when finished and limited range of setting options. For example, set up a 15 minute 360 degree view. The turntable kept moving after a full revolution. No big deal. Haven't yet tested with the 180 and 90 degrees settings to see if the same thing happens.

Have move-shoot-move mode?
Asked by: Leonel O.
Sorry no. The movement of this device is continuous. You could set the camera to time lapse however. Testing would be necessary to get the desired effect.

Have move-shoot-move mode?
Asked by: Leonel O.
You can select direction and three set speeds. The speeds are only continuous. If you need stop motion, set the camera to stop motion and it can shoot at intervals while the EPH-6 in continuously moving.

Can this be mounted on a tripod?
Asked by: Rajender
Absolutely! Just be sure your tripod is heavy enough to support it as the camera and lens swing around.

Does it Tilt? If so how many degrees?
Asked by: Martin
It tilts only if you use it at a 90-degree angle which makes the pan function act as a tilt instead. The weight capacity is also halved when using as a tilt head.
