How is this Kupo adapter versus the one from Matthews?(Matthews Baby Ballhead Adapter BH #MABBHA) Has anyone tried to compare these two adapters? Pluses and minuses?
Asked by: Jan
Both adapters are high quality. The Kupo has two threaded spots to tighten it down which could help if the stand you have has a notch in a place that does not line up with the Matthews.

What is this made of? I just purchased one, and it feels like plastic. I'm afraid it will break
Asked by: Ryan
I have 3 of these and they are definitely made of metal; probably cast aluminum which is why they are fairly light weight. I use two of them as supports for a slider, and the other to support a monitor or light. Note that there are 3 set screws on the bottom to prevent whatever is mounted won't unscrew.

No, the following item is a ball head adapter and requires a ball head to attach. If you are looking to attach camera to a light stand or spigot please look into the following item. Impact Rapid Baby to 1/4"-20 Male Threaded Adapter https://bhpho.to/3iY61gw

how much weight can this support?
Asked by: Paul
I have not had issues of weight with this. I use the adapter to mount tripod heads and cameras onto stands. I've used a 1DX2 with 70-200, and Manfrotto 503 Video head. I would imagine it would take around 30-50 pounds depending on your use. I've had two for three years without issues.

question

Can the screw mount on top be replaced?
Asked by: Frank S.
I think it can be removed, but not replaced with a different size screw. The screw at the top has an allen wrench opening.
