The polar white G Two 2-Way Active Speaker from Genelec is designed to produce broad bandwidth sound with high output and low coloration. The signal-sensing Autostart function of the loudspeaker powers it up when playback is detected. Automatic powering down of the loudspeaker occurs one hour after playback has ended, causing the speaker to enter into standby mode. The power consumption in standby mode is less than 0.5W. The loudspeaker will automatically restart once an input signal is detected from the source.
The frequency response of the G Two can be adjusted to match the acoustic environment by setting the tone control switches on the rear panel. The control options are "Tabletop" and "Bass". The tabletop switch is useful when the G Two is placed on a table or similar surface. The control offers 3 attenuation levels for the bass response below 1 kHz, which is sometimes necessary when the loudspeaker is placed near room boundaries or other situations when the bass sounds too boomy or dominant.
The Iso-Pod (Isolation Positioner/Decoupler) vibration insulating table stand allows tilting of the loudspeaker for correct vertical alignment. On the base of the loudspeaker is a 3/8" UNC threaded hole that is compatible with a standard microphone stand. On the rear of the speaker are threaded holes for use with optional OmniMount brackets.
