TRITON AUDIO PHANTOM BLOCKER Overview

Triton Audio's Phantom Power Blocker Connector safeguards your equipment from phantom power while allowing signal to pass freely in both directions. Connect it to the cable which plugs into your gear to ensure that you won't be blowing up your beloved Dynaco pre.

Phantom power can be applied to either the male or the female side of Phantom Blocker's XLR connector and will not reach the opposing XLR connector, protecting devices like computer interfaces that are connected to mixers with phantom power engaged. Phantom Power Blocker also prevents shorts when connecting unbalanced TRS cables to XLRs.

I Did Not Want Signal Amplification But Got It

I wanted unity gain but got a bit of feedback ringing / squealing that I did not want. The device it was to be used with had too much gain to begin with, but this put it beyond the border of acceptability. All I wanted to do was block phantom power should it have been switched ON. Phantom power was OFF for all this testing. Nevertheless I'm keeping it for something else.

Perfect solution to power from different sources.

Will this work to stop phantom power from reaching my ribbon mic?

Yes, it is a protection device for passive ribbon microphones Phantom blocker blocks Phantom power while leaving the audio signal intact. Phantom power can be applied to either the male or the female side of Phantom Blocker's XLR connector and will not reach the opposing xlr connector, the audio signal travels without restriction in both directions.

No, the Triton Audio Phantom Power Blocker Connector should not have any affect on the sound quality. It is designed to block phantom power and prevent it from passing through to the microphone.

Yew it works without phantom power.I use it with a Line 6 Helix straight into the desk and can't tell a difference with or without phantom power activated.
