We use the boom with a wireless mic setup for audio on our podcast. This is a reliable item from a really good brand. Thanks B&H!

question

will i be able to put a reflection filter on this mic stand? or will i have to buy ANOTHER stand for it?
Asked by: kyle s.
The Auray MS-5230F mic stand is able to support most lightweight reflection filters. We do recommend using a stand with no boom for the best support and positioning.

question

Can the arm of this stand be removed so that I can hold it myself? I would like to be able to choose whether the arm is mounted on the stand or handheld, but I can't quite tell from the photos and description of this stand if that's possible. Thank you!
Asked by: Emily-Jane P.

question

I recently got this stand for the college I work at. The locking handle for the telescopic shaft seems to be poorly threaded, preventing me from locking the shaft into place. Everything else looks fine. Can I get a replacement handle? If so, how?
Asked by: Anonymous
I purchased a separate 19 inch gooseneck microphone boom for 8 dollars and replaced the telescopic shaft.

Could I mount a K&M 23550 Adjustable Microphone Bar on top of this in place of the boom if I wanted to use a stereo mic configuration?
Asked by: Stephen
You probably could. If not, an adapter is very accessible. However, I really don't recommend buying this product. Mine broke in 6 months and I only use it in a controlled private recording studio once a week.

Would this work with a rode videomic pro and will I have to buy a 3/8 to 1/4 converter
Asked by: Anonymous
Yes - it will work fine: The mic has a standard camera shoe and a 3/8 threaded mount for easy attachment to cameras and boom poles.
