This wide-angle prime features an M39 screw mount and is compatible with 35mm rangefinder cameras. Included with the lens is an M39 to M-mount adapter, which makes the lens compatible for use with M-mount rangefinder cameras, and triggers cameras' built-in 28mm frame lines when available. The lens is also uncoupled and requires zone focusing techniques for use.
Reminiscent of the classic Russar lens, this modern version shares the same symmetrical six elements in four groups optical design with unique crescent-shaped front and rear elements. This design helps to significantly reduce distortion, prevent vignetting, and maintain even illumination across the frame.
Multi-coated optics help to control lens flare and ghosting in order to gain greater contrast and color fidelity when working in strong lighting conditions.
Manual focus control is benefitted by a printed distance scale on the side of the barrel, and manual aperture control is available via a front-facing ring from f/5.6 to f/22.
The lens body is constructed from chrome-plated brass that is durable and also completes an overall aesthetic appearance.
