Swarovski Optik's TLS APO 23mm Digiscoping Lens makes it easy to use a Swarovski spotting scope as a telephoto lens for a Micro Four Thirds camera, achieving sharp images and video of distant details. Its 23mm apochromatic lens eliminates spherical and chromatic aberrations, so images have true color rendition with zero distortion across the entire frame.

When the TLS APO, a T2 adapter, and camera body are mounted to the spotting scope eyepiece, users are treated to a truly stunning digiscoping experience. The TLS APO's lens perfectly aligns the camera sensor with the focal plane of the transmitted image. Regardless of the camera used, you will capture contrast-rich and sharp video and still images using the premium optics of your Swarovski spotting scope. A camera and T2 camera adapter are required to complete the Swarovski digiscoping system, and are not included.

The instructions are very poor. The Konus T-2 ring sold by BH works for Sony A7Rii camera. You have to unscrew sleeve from eyepiece and then screw in alternate sleeve. Then place Then place large sleeve engaging key. The place outer sleeve use setscrew to tighten. T2 screws on and camera engages T2. Rotate and engage set screw to hold.

Better than the DCB II

This method of attaching a camera to a spotting scope has several advantages over the Swarovski DCB II. The TLS provides better alignment of the optics, it eliminates light interference between the camera and the scope and a more secure mechanical feel, meaning that you can aim the scope by moving the camera and not wonder if you are messing up the alignment. I do like that the DCB II holds the camera when using the scope as a scope, but the DCB II swinging on top of the scope was always in the way of hat brims. Swarovski should provide information on recommended aperture & shutter settings and other tips, or have a video aimed at using this device with a micro 4/3s camera for which it is designed.
