The Smart App LCD Series 2U Line Interactive Sine Wave UPS from CyberPower provides simulated sine wave output of 1,500 VA and 1,125 W. Along with the battery backup, it also provides surge protection for department servers, workgroup servers, workstations, network devices, and telecom installations without active PFC power supplies. It uses Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) to correct minor power fluctuations without switching to battery power, which extends battery life. AVR is essential in areas where power fluctuations occur frequently. This UPS system is ENERGY STAR qualified with GreenPower UPS Bypass circuitry to save on energy costs by reducing energy consumption and heat buildup.

Data Line Protection
  • Prevents power surges that travel through telephone and Ethernet lines from causing damage to electronics
Surge Protection
  • Diverts excess voltage away from sensitive electronic equipment during an AC power surge or power spike to prevent damage
Line-Interactive Topology
  • Exists when a line-interactive UPS has an autotransformer that regulates low voltages (e.g., brownouts) and over voltages (e.g., spikes) without having to switch to battery
Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR)
  • Provides clean, consistent AC power by automatically boosting low voltage without using battery power when incoming utility power experiences minor fluctuations
Simulated Sine Wave Output
  • Uses pulse wave modulation to generate a stepped, approximated sine wave to supply cost-effective battery backup power for equipment that does not require sine wave output
GreenPower UPS Bypass Design
  • Allows utility power to bypass the UPS transformer, when AC power is stable, which reduces energy consumption, noise, and heat build-up
Rotatable Multifunction LCD Panel
  • Displays immediate, detailed information on the UPS battery and power conditions, alerting users to potential problems before they can affect critical equipment and cause downtime
  • Rotatable panel is easily readable whether the UPS is rack mounted or standing as a tower
PowerPanel Business Edition Software (Included)
  • Provides tools for monitoring and managing the UPS and backup power, also offers remote management functionality
ENERGY STAR
  • ENERGY STAR certified Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) system
Connected Equipment Guarantee
  • CyberPower will repair or replace properly connected equipment if it is damaged by a power surge
Applications
  • Department servers, workgroup servers, workstations, network devices, and telecom installations

Smart App LCD UPS Series 2U Rack/Tower Line Interactive Sine Wave UPS (1,500 VA / 1,125 W) is rated 1.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Will Not Communicate With Your PC & Is Not Supported by Co. I purchased one of these years ago and managed to communicate with it for a brief period of initial Windows 7 install. All previous versions of Windows and subsequent versions after the first Windows 7 update, including multiple computers, USB and RS-232 port and cable tests were unable to communicate with the device. On USB it shows up as "Device Descriptor Request Failed" and the serial port (COM1) doesn't even know anything is connected to it. Multiple contacts with CyperPower got the "your system is screwed up - reinstall drivers / OS / hardware..." and it was CLEARLY their problem. Whether hardware (i.e. their serial / USB port) firmware, or device protocol implementations is not clear. But it turns out everyone I know who bought this model UPS has the same problem. So if you need a UPS that can initiate an orderly shutdown if you are not sitting at your system when the power fails, DON'T BUY THIS UNIT! With no way to communicate with it, you cannot configure your system for orderly shutdown on power outage.
