Hello Barbara, this will depend if the digital printer in question is a laser printer. We do NOT recommending using Cyberpower UPS's with laser printers. The power demands of these devices will overload and possibly damage the unit. Thank you for submitting your question!

does this have an indicator showing if the battery is working properly and can the battery be replaced?
There is no light or other battery charge indicator on the device itself. I use the included USB cable and monitor the battery level in Windows. Also the battery can be replaced. Just remove the screw and open the battery compartment door. Then remove the positive and negative cables from the battery.
